Today, many people suffer from back pain – a major problem here is constant sitting and lack of exercise. Another major problem is the uneven strain on the back caused by our heavy bags. Back problems can be prevented or reduced by carrying a bag correctly.
To make carrying your bag more comfortable, we have the following 4 tips for you that are guaranteed to provide more comfort:
1. Carry a shoulder bag diagonally across your back
To distribute the load better across your body, you should not carry the bag on one side, but diagonally across your back.
2. Change the position of the bag
Even if the bag is carried diagonally across your back, you should regularly change its position. This means that instead of constantly carrying the bag on the right, you should also carry it on the left side to evenly distribute the higher load to both sides. Although we tend to put more strain on one side - the one with the more developed muscles - this also causes back pain.
3. Carry the bag at hip height
To avoid having to compensate more intensely for the weight of the bag, you should carry the bag at hip height. The lower the bag hangs, the more it swings, but if the bag is carried diagonally across the body, it swings less anyway.
The higher the bag is carried, the more intensely the weight must be compensated for.
4. The wider the carrying strap, the better
To reduce the strain on the shoulder and prevent the bag from digging into the shoulder, a wider carrying strap is particularly practical. With the help of a shoulder pad, you prevent additional digging in of the bag.
