Why is my ordered baby wrap longer than stated?

When you receive your new baby wrap, it will be about 20-30cm longer than ordered. After washing, the fabric will compact a little more. This ensures that you will always have the required length, even with intensive use.

What do the different weave types mean?

All our baby wraps are hand-woven. These can be made in cross twill, herringbone, diamond, and honeycomb weaves. The different weaves of the baby wraps have slightly different carrying properties. Cross TwillCross twill wraps have a fabric weight of about 215 g/m². They are suitable for newborns as well as later for toddlers (then possibly tied in multiple layers). These wraps are particularly suitable for beginners, they are easy to tie and easy to care for.DiamondThe fabric weight is about 228 g/m². Diamond wraps are particularly cuddly even without a long break-in period. The diamond weave is wonderfully suitable for newborns. For very heavy children and single-layer carrying methods, diamond wraps are no longer our first choice. Except for diamond with double weft, of course.HerringboneHerringbone wraps are particularly cuddly from the start, which is why they are great newborn wraps, among other things (except for double weft). But even with heavier children, herringbone wraps still perform wonderfully, especially with multi-layer carrying methods (e.g., Double Hammock). The fabric weight is about 210 g/m².HoneycombThe fabric weight is about 217 g/m². Honeycomb wraps are suitable from birth. In terms of tying properties, they can be well compared to diamond wraps.

Why are there price differences?

Our baby wraps are handcrafted responsibly. High-quality production through hand-weaving is only possible with years of experience and is very time-consuming. Surcharge due to increased weaving effort:Some weaving patterns such as diamond, herringbone, and honeycomb are even more elaborate to produce, which is why products in these weaving patterns are more expensive, as we want to fairly compensate our weavers. There is also a surcharge for higher effort with many color changes in the fabric. Surcharge for using plant dyes or recycled yarnBoth our plant-dyed products and our products made from recycled yarn are slightly more expensive due to higher raw material prices. In return, you receive a particularly sustainable product.

Kaum eine andere Tragehilfe ist so vielseitig wie ein Tragetuch: Mit verschiedenen Bindeweisen lässt es sich von Geburt an bis ins Kleinkindalter verwenden und immer optimal an die wechselnden Bedürfnisse von Tragling und Trägern anpassen.

Zugegebenermaßen: Ein wenig Übung braucht es schon, um das Tuch optimal und schnell zu binden, aber wer dranbleibt, wird mit einem einmaligen und bequemen Tragegefühl belohnt!

Vor dem Bauch, auf der Hüfte, auf dem Rücken, mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten und Gewichtsverlagerung, mit weiteren Einsatzmöglichkeiten als Decke, Unterlage, Babyhängematte und Schaukel – ein Tragetuch ist bequem, praktisch und macht Spaß.

Noch wenig bekannt, aber ein heißer Tipp, das Tragetuchbinden leicht und gut zu erlernen, ist eine Trageberatung oder ein Tragekurs: Von Trageschulen speziell fortgebildetes Personal berät und hilft beim richtigen Umgang mit dem Tuch, damit das Tragen immer Freude macht.

Unsere Tragetücher werden in vier Bindungen gewebt: Kreuzköper, Diamantköper, Honeycomb und Fischgrat. Alle Gewebearten besitzen aufgrund ihrer Diagonalelastizität wunderbare Tragetucheigenschaften. Die Tragetuchmitte ist mit einem eingenähten Schildchen markiert, die Enden sind abgeschrägt und Kanten komfortabel doppelt umnäht.

Falls die gewünschte Länge aktuell nicht verfügbar sein sollte, kannst Du uns gerne persönlich kontaktieren. In Einzelfällen ist es möglich Tücher kostenlos auf Wunschlänge zu kürzen.
